orangebox
little bit of everything
Orangebox is a designer and manufacturer of furniture for the changing workplace with a focus on "Smartworking" solutions - furniture that fosters collaboration while providing contemporary aesthetics, visual/acoustic privacy and commercial-grade performance.
Starting in January, I have been with the company for almost a year. Being the only graphic designer that is based in Grand Rapids, I have been able to work on a wide variety of projects.
away from the desk
Away from the Desk (AftD) is a soft upholstery system designed to answer the rapidly changing needs of the workplace as we migrate away from personal desks with their fixed and tethered technology towards shared, collaborative spaces and furniture.
This dynamic furniture system includes over 100 modules. To showcase how versatile Away from the Desk is, a video was the best solution because it allowed the quirky voice of Orangebox to shine through while being able to cycle through different variations and settings of this lounge system.
showcase events
CoreNet
CoreNet Global Summits offer opportunities for members to network, learn and be recognized for professional achievements. CoreNet Global
Summits bring corporate real estate (CRE) professionals together from across and from
all aspects of the profession.
CoreNet Global Summit | North America was held
in Chicago from November 1-3. Orangebox had a 200sqft booth space, where we were able to showcase our pods (Air3 and On the QT), as well
as supporting ancillary products like Border and Avi.
One of the responsibilities of mine for the showcase was to create furniture tags for each piece that was being featured. When scanned the QR code on the back would lead the viewer to a produce line sheet which included pricing and fabric matrix per product, which I also created in both a digital
and print version.
The welcoming table consisted of small orange-boxes (very clever) that were filled with jelly beans, wrapped in stickers illustrating our Smartworking campaign.
Additionally, there was a one pager highlighting the ‘need to know’ of our pods, Air3 and On the QT. I originally created this collateral for a previous showcase a few months prior so dealers could easily communicate with buyers and get a quick summary of our key products.
